Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best contact method?

Emailing ([email protected]) or calling (865-745-9542) will provide you with the fastest response.

How soon will you reply to me about a prospective agreement?

Upon receiving your initial contact, we will follow up with you within 1 week.

How do I qualify my small business for a grant or loan?

Simply reach out to our team, share your ideas and we will consider sending you a Pre-Grant Inquiry (“PGI”) form to complete and submit. All PGIs are reviewed by our Board of Directors, and considered as they relate to improving economic & living conditions for rural communities in eastern Tennessee.

How do you monitor a recipient’s use of funds?

We periodically contact recipients (typically every 3-4 months) by-phone or in-person, to obtain an Expenditure Responsibility report from the recipient, on the funds used to-date and visit sites where activities pursuant to the Foundation’s mission have occurred.

If a grant/loan recipient demonstrates satisfactory use of funds, can they qualify for subsequent grants or loans?

Absolutely! We make every effort to keep relations with diligent businesses who further the Foundation’s mission going, but will always consider all available options for diversifying and enhancing the reach of its programs.
